Many F1 teams have changed their names as a result of being owned by different entities. “Lineage” refers to the brand history of F1 teams and the name changes the teams have undergone.
For example, Ferrari and McLaren (which are excluded from this quiz) have been owned by the same entity since inception and their names have remained the same, whereas other F1 teams have had at least one name change.
