MotoGP: Mission King Of The Baggers joins COTA schedule

MotoAmerica’s Mission King of The Baggers series will join MotoGP at the American Grand Prix.

In April the MotoGP paddock will head to the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) for the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas. In 2024 however, the ‘Mission King Of The Baggers’ Championship will join the weekend schedule.

The V-twin machines will be in front of the Grand Prix paddock, creating a new chapter in history. There will be two Bagger races across the weekend, with a full 18 calendar planned for the American Championship.

There will also be the Mission Challenge – a three-lap dash which involves the six fastest qualifiers. The winner of the Mission Challenge on Friday will receive a $5000 prize.

Hayden Gillim was the 2023 MotoAmerica Mission King Of The Baggers Champion – taking three wins throughout the year. He won the Championship by 18 points onboard a Harley-Davidson.

There are two manufacturers in the Mission King Of The Baggers series, with Harley-Davidson and Indian fielding the grid. The grid has had some talented riders including, Jeremy McWilliams and MotoAmerica riders such as Bobby Fong.

The Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas is scheduled to be the third round of the MotoGP season after the cancellation of the Argentina round. The historic weekend will take place on the 12-14 April.
