Moto3: David Almansa will wildcard at Jerez

David Almansa will wildcard with the Finetwork Team in the Moto3 class at Jerez.

David Almansa will join the Moto3 World Championship for round four at the iconic Jerez-Angel Nieto Circuit. He will be helped throughout the weekend by Ramon Forcada, who will use his Grand Prix experience. 

Almansa will enter his fourth Grand Prix in his career, after debuting in the 2022 Valencian Grand Prix. He would race for the Finetwork Team, qualifying in 21^st place and finishing the race in 25^th position.

The 17-year-old returned to the Championship in 2023, riding for the CFMoto Racing PruestelGP squad. He would replace the injured Joel Kelso who broke his leg in the opening round at Portimao.

Ramon Forcada will accompany David Almansa in the box, as in the past Grand Prix of Valencia. Forcada is one of the most experienced crew chiefs, working with Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, and Maverick Vinales in the past. 

In 2022, Almansa competed in the 2022 JuniorGP Championship, racing for the Finetwork MIR Racing Team. After a consistent year, he ended the season in eighth position in the standings. The highlight of his season came at Valencia where he took the only race win of his season, weeks after debuting in Moto3.

The Finetwork Team has received great support from the IntactGP team to prepare the bikes and the team for this weekend.

“Our mission here is to continue learning, to reach 100% prepared for our great goal of the year, which is to fight for everything in the JuniorGP. I am enormously grateful to Finetwork for all the effort it makes so that it can continue to complete all the steps of my training program and I hope that we enjoy, together with the whole team, a great weekend.”
