BSB: Jack Scott completes the CDH Racing line-up

Jack Scott has signed to race for the RAPID CDH Racing team for the 2023 season. The reigning GP2 champion will ride the brand new Kawasaki ZX-10RR.

Scott will make the step up to BSB with the CDH Racing team, he will have Liam Delves alongside him. The 21 year old becomes the fourth reigning support class champion to move into to the class for 2023.

He will be riding for the CDH Racing team, who ended their season in 12^th place in the standings. He will also be replacing Josh Owens who moves on the team, after taking multiple point scoring finishes last year.

Liam Delves will race alongside Scott for the 2023 season, Delves already has ridden with the team in 2022. He finished a best of 16^th position, narrowly missing out on a points scoring position in a his rookie year.

He would spend his season onboard the Kovara Projects/RS Racing Kalex, in a highly competitive GP2 grid. His rivals last season were Cameron Fraser and Harvey Claridge who took the championship down to the final weekend.

He had an incredible year, taking 14 race wins in the GP2 class and a further podium finish. The highlight of Jack Scott’s season would come at Thruxton, he would take the overall race win. Scott would be beat eventual Supersport champion, Jack Kennedy in the race proving his potential.

Scott said: “I have raced in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship support classes for the last six years now with 117 races and 71 podiums under my belt, so I feel the next step is due. 2022 was a fantastic year for me on the RS Racing Kalex in the GP2 class and competing with the Supersport riders. 

“Winning the race overall at Thruxton against the likes of Jack Kennedy, Brad Perie, Luke Stapleford and Harry Truelove was amazing, but winning the GP2 Championship title was unbelievable. Now having the opportunity to step up to the Superbike class is a dream come true.

“I would like to say a big thank you to Dean at CDH Racing for offering me the ride and I am mega excited to finally be racing a Superbike. Testing can’t come soon enough now so roll on 2023.” 

Team Owner Dean Hipwell commented: “We are pleased to announce the signing of Jack for next year. Jack impressed us during the 2022 season with some good rides against the main Supersport field. It’s good to have both riders announced now and we are looking forward to getting back out to Spain for some testing and assessing our winter developments.”
