British GT: Loggie And Buurman Return With RAM Racing

Silverstone-based RAM Racing has announced that it will return to the Intelligent Money British GT Championship for the 2021 season to defend its GT3 Pro-Am drivers title with Ian Loggie and Yelmer Buurman.

The team will campaign its Mercedes-AMG GT3 with a striking new pink livery in support of Cure Leukaemia, the blood cancer charity.

Also displayed on the car will be the logo of Cure Leukaemia’s Tour 21 fundraising event which sees amateur cyclists, which will include RAM Racing pilot Ian Loggie, tackling a 21-stage course prior to the Tour de France in June.

After a year which saw Loggie and Buurman take four class wins in the Pro-Am category, Ian Loggie is looking forward to the opportunity to opportunity to compete for overall championship honours in the forthcoming season.

“There are many things in life that I’ve always wanted to do, and 2021 may well be the year I get to tick a few of those boxes,” said Loggie. “This year will be a full-on attempt to win the British GT Championship and. alongside Yelmer, I know that I stand a very good chance of fighting for the title ater a great season last year.

“Being part of the Tour 21 will also be incredibly special and these new colours reflect a great cause,” continued Loggie. “I used to watch the Tour de France on black and white TV and now I’m part of a team, riding just days ahead of the professionals, aiming to raise £1 million for charity. It should be fantastic, and British GT is an amazing platform to help spread the word about an amazing cause.”

The 2021 Intelligent Money British GT Championship gets underway at Brands Hatch on May 22 – 23.
