MSV venues to allow race meeting visitors from July 11

In line with recent changes to government guidance, Motorsport Vision have announced today that visitors will be able to attend race meetings at its circuit venues from Saturday July 11.

All five venues (Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park, Cadwell Park and Snetterton) will reopen with reduced capacities and a range of hygiene and social distancing measures in place.

A statement from MSV said: “In line with latest government guidance, MotorSport Vision (MSV) is very pleased to announce that day visitors will be able to attend race meetings at its circuits from Saturday, July 11 onwards.

“All five venues (Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park, Cadwell Park and Snetterton) will initially reopen with reduced capacities, and a range of hygiene and social distancing measures will be in place to ensure that visits are safe and enjoyable.

“In order to comply with guidance from the relevant motorsport authorities, visitors will not be able to access the paddock and pit lane for the time being, and no overnight stays will be permitted until at least the end of July (other than for competitors).

“To guarantee admission you must purchase tickets in advance or be in possession of a valid season or resident’s pass.

“This reopening from 11 July specifically relates to race meetings. Until further notice only participants and their essential helpers may attend a test or track day. No-one else, including spectating friends or family members, or media, will be admitted.”

The safety measures in place includes:

• Hand sanitiser will be available for visitor use at entrances
• Staff scanning tickets will be behind a screen or have appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Where grandstands are open, seating plans will be reconfigured to allow for social distancing
• A takeaway service with a greater emphasis on ‘Grab and Go’ items to reduce queuing times will be introduced at restaurants.
