British GT: Academy Motorsport To Run Ford Mustang GT4s In 2020.

Worcestershire-based Academy Motorsport has announced that it has become an agent for Multimatic in Europe and will run a pair of Mustang GT4s in the 2020 British GT Championship and the GT4 European Series.

The Mustang GT4 enjoyed a highly successful debut in Europe in 2019, finishing third in the British GT GT4 teams standings when the cars were run by Multimatic Motorsports, the racing arm of the Canadian engineering corporation. The team earned two class victories over the course of the nine-race season.

Academy Motorsport MD Matt Nicoll-Jones is excited at the opportunities that a relationship with Multimatic will offer for his team.

The 2020 British GT Championship opens at Oulton park on Easter Weekend, April 11 – 13, while the GT4 European Series gets underway at Silverstone on May 9 – 10.
