Miller pragmatic following heroic Argentine GP weekend

Having been held up on the grid for making the correct decision, Jack Miller was somewhat unlucky not to get a podium from what was quite a bold and ballsy decision – both in qualifying and on race-day. The popular Australian finished fourth in the end, having led for the majority of the race.

“I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed because I wasn’t able to fight for the podium after leading the race for a long time. I made a mistake that cost me a lot. But to be honest I’m very happy for this weekend and we’ve done an incredible job with the team. The decision of Race Direction on the grid? I think they had to make a difficult decision in a moment of great stress,” said Miller who moves into 6th in the championship now, just 19 points behind good friend, Cal Crutchlow – who leads the standings.

No matter what happened, Jack has gained legions of fans, both through his typical-Aussie, determined manner and of course, through sympathy too. Already a tough nut after his huge smash at Le Mans last season, Miller will be one to watch through the rest of this season and his fans will, more than anyone, want to see him on the top step – something that I feel may well be more deserved than others.
