Masters Historic F1 set for double race at 2018 British Grand Prix

The 2018 Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone will see two FIA Masters Historic Formula One Support races to spice up the on-track action.

Iconic cars from the 70’s & 80’s 3-litre Cosworth DFV era will feature in two support races during the July weekend, and with entries open to the current FIA Masters Historic F1 Championship in Europe and the Masters USA series, it is set to be an old-fashioned, super-exciting, ear-splitting spectacle.

Whilst Historic Formula 1 cars have supported a GP before, this is the first time that Masters Historic Racing will organise such a support race at a European leg of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

Masters Historic Racing founder Ron Maydon said:

“I’m sure that we will evoke many wonderful memories with the spectators that were also present at Silverstone and Brands in the seventies and eighties as well as fascinate the younger part of the crowd.”

The current F1 grid could very well be upstaged by the cars and the stars of the past in these iconic machines that will once again be racing at a current Formula 1 British Grand Prix weekend.
