Jordan Cane confirms another season in British F3
British F3 race winner Jordan Cane has confirmed he will compete for the rest of the season in BRDC British F3 with Douglas Motorsport whom he made his debut with 2017.
The 16-year old was a surprise last minute edition to the grid at the first round at Oulton Park as a replacement for Alexandra Mohnhaupt.
Cane: “It’s nice to be back,” “I had a good year in 2017 with Wayne [Douglas] and there’s a good relationship already established there. I’m used to the car, and we really should be going for the championship.”
“We didn’t even know we were going to be doing Oulton Park, and Wayne did a great job getting a car ready for us in such a short amount of time. It didn’t take much convincing from him at all, though it was very last minute! To give you an idea, we flew back from France and I was at home for all of 50 minutes before we were on the road up to Oulton Park. Despite the last minute nature of the call, there was absolutely no hesitation at all.”
“There may be a 70 point gap between myself and the leader, but in racing things can go pear shaped very quickly and it only takes one bad weekend for things to change. Anything can happen this year, especially with the new reverse grid format, and if I just focus on getting as many wins as I can, then who knows what will come from that.”
Race 4, 5 and 6 in the 2018 season happen this weekend at Rockingham.
